College Catwalk for caterpilla

Last week I was a model for a catwalk; which was for the caterpilla tractors. I worked along side others from my course, but also professional models and the 2nd year and foundation fashion students. The experience was crazy and I really got to know what being a model would be like and the pressure in the rehearsals, beacuase I only had one garment to model I got to sit back and see how the others had to cope with two chabges and fast they had to change. It was a really good experience.

These are a few images of what hair and make- up did, all the models also had cranes in our hair to relate to CAT. The mak-up was kept simple with eye stickers on our faces and just neutral make up.

More images from that night to be uploaded .....

Photo shoot for styling live brief

These images are only a few images of the photos me and my group did for this live brief for yellow week. We had to take a photo and using graphics as well make it appropiate for Scene magazine. I had to work with other 1st year fashion students like myself and graphic students. I found that our group worked well together and we all got along well together. I am very happy with our end results and enjoyed this yellow week than the other.
This is the final  photo we went with for the front cover.
Check out the blog we made for this brief: http://theteam9.blogspot.com/

Final piece for flotsam and jetsam

This is my final piece for my second project at college, I made a hooded jacket (which was originally was going to be a hooded top; but after a mini crit in fashion people suggested the jacket and found it worked better). In this project we had to create a garment that includes 2 or more textile techniques, I used 3 techniques: a chain technique which I weaved with for the actual jacket finger knitting for the strap/belt to pull the jacket to fit the persons waist and knitting for the hood. This garment was inspired by Sandra Backlund and images that I collected from Lyme Regis beach; the idea of wrapping of the ropes and nets.
I feel this is my strongest final piece out of the two projects I've did.

Xclusive over!!

So yeah my dance group is over simple from finding out who your friends really are. But no need to worry im carrying on as a solo dancer ..... so look out for me :D
As Lupe Fiasco says "the show goes on" .
